Biographical Sketch: Yanxi Zhang focuses on polymer characterization for more than 10 years in thermosets and other polymeric materials by thermal analysis, kinetic analysis, spectroscopy, chromatography and microscopy. She received her PHD from University of Alabama at Birmingham under the direction of Professor Sergey Vyazovkin in 2007, working on effect of amine structures on cure behavior of a new epoxy monomer. After obtaining her PhD in Chemistry she worked as a postdoctoral associate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Case Western Reserve University. Now she works with NETZSCH Instruments North America, LLC as Technical Sales Support. Dr Zhang peer-reviewed over 100 manuscripts in the field of polymer and thermal analysis for scientific journals from American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons etc.
