Biographical Sketch: Prof. Dr. Wojciech Pisula is Head of Applied Technology Silicone at the Business Line Silica at Evonik Resource Efficiency GmbH. He studied chemical engineering at the University of Applied Science Osnabrück and at the University of Wales, Swansea, where he gained his Master of Science. In 2005, he completed his dissertation at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and in 2015 his habilitation at the Technical University of Darmstadt. In the same year, he became an Associate Professor at the Lodz University of Technology, Poland. He has started his professional career in chemical industry at the Central Chemical Engineering Department of Evonik Industries AG in 2006. Before taking over the current responsibilities, he worked between 2011 and 2016 as Senior Business Development Manager at Acrylic Polymers.
