Biographical Sketch: EDUCATION: BS Chemistry (1974) & BS Textile Chemistry (1974) from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC; Masters of Business Administration (1976) from Babcock Graduate School of Management, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC. CURRENT POSITION: Technical Associate, Field Technical Service HIGHLIGHTS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (COMPANIES, PROJECT AREAS, ETC.): 38 years with same company (PF purchased INVISTA in March 2008) in a variety of positions including plant process and product development, productivity-cost reduction, financial reporting, machine scheduling, research and development, and customer technical support. Has presented papers at ACS Rubber Division Meeting, Tire Industry Conference, International Society of Industrial Fabric Manufacturers (ISIFM), International Tire Exhibition and Conference (ITEC), Clemson U. Melt Spinning Course, and to suppliers and vendors. 8 patents have been granted with him as an inventor. OTHER: Received the first “Go Forth” award (internal recognition for creativity and risk taking) in Hoechst Celanese (predecessor to KOSA, INVISTA).
