Lion Copolymer has successfully developed a line of Nicryl® Acrylonitrile Butadiene Copolymer (NBR) rubber grades for use in applications such as hose, shoe soling, seals, and gaskets. The current product offering affords a tight range of acrylonitrile content (ACN) [33-35%] capable of filling needs for low oil swell requirements and low temperature resistance approaching -30oC. The wide range of Mooney Viscosities [35-75MU at 125 oC] allow for use in molded goods and extruded products. NBR can be chemically crosslinked by several cure systems including sulfur, sulfur-donor, and peroxide, of which selection is critical to the upper service temperature of the final product.
