Rubber component manufacturers continue to be pressured to provide environmentally friendly, cost effective and better performing rubber devices for numerous engineered product(s) applications.  Most of the advancements in recent years related to rubber to substrate (RtS) bonding have been focused on addressing these specific market needs.  The work presented in this paper is an example of Dow Chemical's commitment for advancing the RtS science and commercializing a new RtS bonding agent that will provide lower film thickness, lower fuming/mold fouling, better pre-bake resistance and finally, improved water/glycol resistance.  Comparison of this new RtS technology to current RtS products will be discussed.
