Title:   Walking into the Future on Rubber Tile: By Veronda Ford

Abstract:      One of the newest and most innovative advances in healthcare is rubber tile. The rubber flooring saves all around from cutting costs on maintenance, labor, and even falling patients. With the costs of healthcare rising and the changes with policy and cut backs it is essential that hospitals, nursing homes, and patient care facilities become more economical, cost effective, and still provide quality care. With the implementation of rubber flooring and tile throughout the facilities I will save money used for repainting and surfacing the floors, labor for cleaning and the floors, medical cost for falls on the floor, and no adhesive needed for installation. The purpose of this paper is to serve as a marketing tool and pitch for patient care facilities to invest in the rubber tile and flooring as the new look for hospital foundation. As we walk into the future we should be walking on rubber.
