Biographical Sketch: Leila Khalili is a PhD Candidate at department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University. Her research is focused on computational mechanics, material modeling and failure of soft materials. In particular, she works on models that can predict the visco-elastic behavior of elastomeric nano composites (ENCs) at various strain rates. By considering simultaneous effects of different failure mechanisms, she aims to derive proper estimation of ENC’s lifetime.
