Biographical Sketch: Preetom Sarkar is a Research Scholar at Rubber Technology Centre, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India under the supervision of Prof. Anil K. Bhowmick. He received his M.Tech degree in Rubber Technology from IIT Kharagpur. His research interest includes sustainable rubbers, emulsion polymerization, structure-property relationship of polymers, reinforcement and vulcanization of rubbery materials etc. During his M.Tech thesis at IIT Kharagpur, he has also worked on proton exchange membrane materials for fuel cell application. He has published five research articles in international peer review journals. Preetom Sarkar has received several endowment prizes (Modi Rubber, Incab Rubber and Institute Silver Medal) and fellowships (GATE, DST-INSPIRE GOI).
