Biographical Sketch:
Dibyendu is a third year graduate student in department of Polymer Science at The University of Akron. He received B.S. & M.S. degree in Chemistry from University of Calcutta and University of Delhi, respectively. Therefore, he moved to Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur for M. Tech. Program in Materials Science and Engineering. After two years of R & D experience with Battelle, he joined Institute of Materials Science at University of Connecticut in Fall 2012 for MS study in Polymer Science. Presently he is pursuing his PhD research on synthesis of linear polymer to obtain hydrophobically modified hydrogel application. While working with Battelle he developed biocatalyst for soil remediation, insect repellant paints, encapsulated highly oxidizing agent in novel polymer matrix for water remediation.
