Biographical Sketch: David Clark., P.E., is Operations Manager in the Materials Center – Americas of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, the Americas joint venture of Freudenberg & Co. and NOK Corporation. Clark oversees the operation of Freudenberg-NOK’s physical testing and prototype compounding laboratories including supervision of several associate chemists and technicians. He is an expert in the development of prototype elastomer materials for diverse industries including automotive, aerospace, food and beverage and energy. Clark and his team regularly support the production launch of new materials in Freudenberg-NOK facilities, troubleshoot operations and perform failure analysis as needed. He meets regularly with Freudenberg-NOK customers and colleagues to serve as the interface between material developments and product applications. Clark holds a master’s degree in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich. and is licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan.
