A new highly versatile catalyst system was developed at industrial scale to be used in a slurry process to obtain new EP(D)M grades.
The new catalyst system is characterized by higher polymerization yield, improved co-monomer addition to obtain better distribution inside polymer chains and reduced undesirable side reactions compared to the traditional one.
Thanks to this new catalyst new EP(D)M grades were obtained suitable to be used in highly demanding application such as Automotive Sponge Profiles, Building Solid Profiles and TPV.
This new catalyst system demonstrated to be particularly suitable to introduce branching technology in slurry process to get easy processable grades keeping a negligible gel content.
The main characteristics of the new EP(D)M grades are described
