A standard peroxide and a new scorch retarded peroxide formulation based upon di(t-butylperoxy)diisopropylbenzene were compounded into several different grades of chlorinated polyethylene. The ease of the CPE processability based upon the measured rheology was studied along with the final crosslinking performance. Comparisons were also made to the different chlorinated polyethylene compounds containing no curative package.
