Biographical Sketch:
Mehran Motamedi is a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech. He has worked as a research assistant in the Center for Tire Research since August 2012. The title of his PhD thesis is “road surface measurement and multi-scale modeling of rubber-road contact”. He received his MSc also in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Mehran has authored about 20 technical publications and has given several conference presentations in topics related to dynamics and control of mechanical systems. Mehran is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Tire Society, the International Society for Terrain-Vehicle Systems (ISTVS), the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), and the American Chemical Society (ACS).
