Biographical Sketch: Dr. Goang-Ding Shyu graduated from the Polymer Engineering Department of the University of Akron. After graduation, he worked for the Vinyl Building Product Group of CertainTeed Corporation and was responsible for rigid PVC formulating and profile extrusion flow analysis. He joined Baker Hughes in 1996 and has been working on polymer material recommendation, failure analysis and finite element analysis for downhole tools. Currently he is a technical advisor in the Completion & Wellbore Intervention division of Baker Hughes, Inc.
