Biographical Sketch:
Lukas Schwab (born 1987) studied chemistry at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, former Universität Karlsruhe (TH)) in Karlsruhe, Germany with the major subjects organic and polymer chemistry. The topic of his diploma thesis was 'FT-rheology on polymer nanocomposites'. Since he received his Diplom (equivalent to a master degree) in chemistry in 2011 he is a graduate student in the group for polymeric materials at the KIT. The topic of his work is using Fourier-Transform rheology as an advanced tool for understanding the structural changes in complex, heterogeneous rubber materials during processing and fatigue. He also did a three month internship at Continental Tires (Hefei) Co Ltd. tire factory in Hefei, China, were he was project leader in the process department.
