Biographical Sketch: I’m Xin Tan, a 3rd year phd student in the department of polymer science, university of akron. I come from China, and I got my bachelor’s degree in material chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University in 2010. I then began a M.S. degree in physical chemistry at Sun Yat-sen University. At that time I gained much experience in supramolecular coordination polymer, which lit up my passion for scientific research. Later I began my PhD study under the advisement of Dr. Gary Hamed in the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron. I’m currently working on the reinforcement of rubber through supramolecular interaction.
