Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Chris Robertson is currently a Research Associate in Applications Development and Research for Tire Additives at Eastman Chemical Company. He has 13 years of industrial R&D experience in the plastics and rubber fields, including 7 years at Bridgestone Americas. Prior to joining Eastman in 2013, Chris spent two years leading the start-up of an elastomer technical college in Saudi Arabia as a representative of The University of Akron Research Foundation. Chris was a postdoctoral researcher for two years in the polymer physics group at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory after he received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1999. Chris was honored with the Sparks-Thomas Award from the ACS Rubber Division in 2008, and he is an associate editor of Rubber Chemistry and Technology. Chris is the co-author of 52 peer-reviewed publications (citation h-index = 21) and 27 U.S. patents / patents pending.
