Biographical Sketch: It is a cliché to say that I’ve always known what I want to do with my life, but in my case it happens to be true. The value of education is something that I understood at a very young age. My grandfather, a rubber technologist by profession, never received any formal education but made it up the ladder by hard work and dedication. He was always my role model and the primary reason for my fascination for rubber.
I am currently pursuing a Rubber Technology course from Ferris State University. The fast paced production as well as compounding makes rubber a unique field and amuses me. I have interned with two companies as a production engineer and an operator. Both the companies gave me a different perspective for rubber and I was able to explore the compounding, testing as well as manufacturing of rubber components. I felt I was more inclined towards compounding and hence am interning with a custom compounding company this summer. My father always taught me to work to the best of my abilities and excel. He said, "Even if it were cutting grass on your field, you should cut the grass so fine, that people admired it." With this passion, I am willing to pursue an MBA and look for a head position at a rubber compounding facility. I feel that if you know what you do, and you are the best at it, you can run a good show. Therefore, I can excel and contribute more to the society, along with fulfilling my passion for rubber compounding.
