Biographical Sketch: Gaurav is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron, Ohio. His major project involves understanding the structure property relationship of biological materials, specifically spider silk. He earned B.Tech in Textile Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2008. He worked for four years in industrial research lab, ABSTC, Mumbai, India on product development projects related to cellulosic fibers. He has hands-on experience in polymer research through job, internships and applied school projects.
