Biographical Sketch: I am M.Selvakumar from India, pursuing my doctoral program in Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) in Rubber Technology Centre from 2011 to till date. Before joining IIT-KGP, I have completed my masters in Materials Engineering at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Also i have completed my bachelor degree (B.Tech) in Polymer Technology in Anna University. During my master studies, I have done a project entitled “Characterization of poly(vinyl chloride)/poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate-co-carbon monoxide) blends”. My current research is on synthesis of biocompatible thermoplastic polyurethane/hydroxyapatite nanocomposites for biomedical applications. Besides I have few publications in international conference proceedings and one published papers in Journal of Biomedical Nanotechnology, two papers are in under review in international journal.
