Biographical Sketch: Steven Monthey Senior Application Chemist – Automotive, Industrial, and Tire Products Rhein Chemie Additives Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from Washburn University in Topeka, KS Currently assignments include the development and marketing of new and unique Rhein Chemie products for use in Automotive, Industrial, and Tire Applications. 46 years in the rubber industry with Goodyear, Bandag, Dayco, Cabot, Hercules, and now Rhein Chemie Corporation. Experienced in compound and product design for Hose and Belt Applications, Tires and Retreads, Vibration Isolation and many other rubber application segments Chairman of the SAE Non Hydraulic Hose Committee Member of the SAE Classification of Automotive Rubber Specifications (CARS) Committee Teaches Rubber Division Courses on Dispersion and Cure Chemistry. Married with two grown children and three grandchildren Enjoys Fishing, Numismatics, and Antiquing
