Rubber Process and Tire Performance Additives from Trees

An overview on existing and newly developed products based on renewables sources is provided. Tread Enhancement additives are designed to positively influence the performance  of the rubber compound in the final tire application especially their positive effect on wet traction. Process Enhancement Additives are designed and selected to allow for more effective processing of modern tire compounds containing state-of-the –art silanes  with high silica dosages. An description of the origin of these additives is given and the effectiveness of these additives is demonstrated by various application examples.
