Biographical Sketch: Dr. Dana Adkinson is a Senior Research Scientist at the Global Research and Development Center for the Butyl Rubber Business Unit of LANXESS in London, Ontario, Canada. She received her Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from the University of Western Ontario in 2005 and was then awarded an Industrial Research Fellowship from the Canadian Government which she used to pursue an industrial post doctorate position at LANXESS. Currently, Dana leads a strategic project focused on the development of a new functionalized butyl-based material geared towards expanding the application scope of butyl rubber. Her work has resulted in over 15 patent applications.
