Biographical Sketch: Warren C. Oliver is a founder and the President of Nanomechanics Inc. He is also a founder and the Secretary for FFD Inc. In addition, he serves as an adjunct professor in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee. He received his BS in Materials Science from the University of Tennessee in 1977 and an MS (1979) as well as his Ph.D. (1981) in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. His primary research interests are micro and nano scale mechanical testing and the development of the systems required to perform such experiments. His honors include the 1987 Ross Coffin Purdy Award, 2000 MTS Corporation Circle of Innovators, and ISI "Highly Cited Researcher" in Materials Science, 2003.
