Biographical Sketch:
Ming-Hang Yang is a PhD student in The Department of Polymer Science at The University of Akron. Under the direction of Gary R. Hamed, his graduate study focuses on rubber composite, reinforcement, and fracture science. His PhD thesis concentrates on the effect of sample geometry and dimensions and rate of testing on rubber fracture. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering from National Cheng Kung University in 2003 and from National Taiwan University in 2005, respectively. Before coming to America, he worked at ProMOS Technologies, a semiconductor manufacturing company in Taiwan, on advanced photolithography technology from 2006 to 2010.
