Biographical Sketch:
Howard Colvin has worked in the rubber industry for over 25 years as a chemist and a polymer scientist. He was in charge of the polymer group at the Goodyear Chemical Division for 13 years where he worked on new materials using emulsion and solution polymer technology. He was Professor of Chemistry at Florida College for four years, and continues as an adjunct professor for the school. He now is part of the Global Technical Center at the Cooper Tire & Rubber and works in the Innovation Technology group. He holds over 40 patents and has published a number of articles in refereed journals along with a book chapter. Howard graduated from the University of Houston with his B.Sc. in Chemistry and received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
