Biographical Sketch: Graduated Carnegie-Mellon University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry.
Joined the tire industry and accumulated over twenty years of experience in compound development which included research, tire development, and factory processing improvement. Research emphasis was in dynamic mechanical characterization for understanding the relationship between viscoelastic properties measured in the laboratory and the dynamic mechanical response in the tire and tire performance.
After tire compound development, thirteen years have provided experience in silica and mineral manufacturing and applications in tire and mechanical rubber goods in a technical role. Current title is Technical Market Manager of Evonik Inorganic Material – Silica for the NAFTA region.
Holds authorship on two patents and a contributor on a third patent for rubber reinforcing pigments which modify viscoelastic properties.
