Biographical Sketch:
He graduated from Case Western Reserve University. Since then he has over 40 years of experience in quality control test instrument development and applications. He has worked in areas as diverse as spectrophotometers and rheometers. He spent the last 33 years in the rubber industry developing and later supporting test instruments with Monsanto I&E (now Alpha Technologies). His work at Alpha Technologies includes the development of the world’s most widely used rotorless curemeter, the MDR 2000. Later he was on the team that developed a new dynamic mechanical rheological tester, the RPA 2000. He has also written many publications in the area of rubber and plastic testing. He is a 2000 inductee into the Polymer Hall of Honor created by the Akron chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers. This was for his work on developing those rheometers that are now widely used in the rubber industry.
