Biographical Sketch: Steven Monthey Senior Application Specialist – Automotive and Tire Products Rhein Chemie Corporation Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from Washburn University in Topeka, KS Currently assignments include the development and marketing of new and unique Rhein Chemie products for use in Automotive and Tire Applications. 45 years in the rubber industry with Goodyear, Bandag, Dayco, Cabot, Hercules, and now Rhein Chemie Corporation. Experienced in compound and product design for Hose and Belt Applications, Tires and Retreads, Vibration Isolation and many other rubber application segments Past Chairman of the SAE Coolant Hose Committee Member of the SAE Non-Hydraulic Hose Committee and Classification of Automotive Rubber Specifications (CARS) Committee Has authored and coauthored several papers for the ACS Rubber Division Spring and Fall Technical Symposia Married with two grown children and three grandchildren Enjoys Fishing, Numismatics, and Antiquing Steven Monthey
