Dr Fabienne Lagarde University of Maine Institute of Molecules and Materials of le Mans (IMMM, UMR CNRS 6283) Avenue Messiaen Cedex Le Mans France 72085 Email: fabienne.lagarde@univ-nantes.fr Biographical Sketch: After a PhD in Environmental Science and Chemistry obtained from Paris XII University (France) in collaboration with Laval University (Canada) obtained in 2003, Dr Lagarde was recruited at the University of Nantes in 2004 as assistant professor in environmental science. In 2009, she integrated a team composed of physicists and chemists working on rubber-based polymers synthesis, behavior and degradation at the Institute of Molecules and Materials of Le Mans, a lab part of the University of Maine (France). Her work is mainly devoted to the development of spectroscopic tools for polymer characterization. On this subject, she was head of a two-year (2011-2012) bilateral research program with Thailand teams on “the use of Silica particles for bulk modification and functional coating of polymeric materials”. |
