Biographical Sketch:
Ziran Li, an assistant professor in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), received his B.Sc. degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the Department of Modern Mechanics of USTC in July 1997. In the period September 1997 - December 2002, he studied in the Department of Modern Mechanics as a Master-Docter combined program graduate student, and received his doctor degree in Engineering. So far he has been working in the Department of Modern Mechanics since July 2002. From September 2003 to August 2005, he worked as a visiting scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Architecture of City University of Hong Kong. His main research fields include: computational solid mechanics, computational mechanics of materials and tire mechanics.
