Biographical Sketch: Van Walworth is President of Research & Design Specialties, Inc., based in the Nashville, TN area. Walworth’s professional career spans over three decades as a practitioner of product R&D, tool & equipment design, process establishment & improvement, troubleshooting, project management, and spontaneous creativity. Over his career, Walworth held corporate engineering management positions with several companies including, Parker-Hannifin, Wynn’s Precision, Ashtabula Rubber Company, and Thunderline Corp. Six patents have been issued based on his work, with over a dozen additional patents pending. Walworth has over 20 years of experience as an educator and instructor of continuing education seminars, domestically and internationally. Because of Van's seemingly innate ability to solve rubber molding problems, many of his clients refer to Van as the "Rubber Whisperer".
