Biographical Sketch: Mr. Walker is the Corporate Director – Materials Development and Chemical Regulatory Compliance - Americas for Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies. In this position he is responsible for overseeing advanced materials development and chemical regulatory compliance issues for the FNST’s Americas business. Prior to joining Freudenberg-NOK, Joe was the Silicone Rubber Business Team Leader for Wacker Silicones Corporation where he was responsible for research, development, sales and marketing. Previously, he was an Engineering Fellow for Alliant Techsystems (formally Honeywell Defense & Marine Systems) where he was responsible for material design, processing and application for various Department of Defense programs. Mr. Walker has held other positions at Stauffer Chemical, Phillips Petroleum, and Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. In addition, he is the past chairman of the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society. He holds numerous patents in the fields of materials and authored and edited various chapters in textbooks and industry publications.
