Biographical Sketch: Richard received his Ph. D. in Polymer Chemistry from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada in 1994. He worked at Bayer Inc. and LANXESS Inc. in Sarnia, Ontario from 1998 to 2007, then with Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership in Plymouth, MI from 2007 to 2010. Presently, he is working for the Department of National Defence in the Quality Engineering Test Establishment (QETE), as a lead chemist in the elastomers area. He lives in the Ottawa area with his wife and 3 children.
