Biographical Sketch: Emily Q. Rosenthal is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron. In March of 2008, she obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She also has an A.A.S. in Rubber Technology from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. She joined Dr. Puskas’ group as a Ph.D. candidate in December of 2008. Her research interests include the synthesis and characterization of hydrogels and amphiphilic conetworks, as well as enzyme catalysis and the development of green chemistry techniques.
