Biographical Sketch: Gabriele Milani is assistant professor at the Technical University of Milan, Italy. His research interests include the development of new numerical models for the optimal vulcanization of thick rubber items by means of both sulfur and peroxides. He is author of several papers in this field (Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Computers & Chemical Engineering, Macromolecular Theory and Simulations, Journal of Mathematical Chemistry). He is also involved in the development of Genetic Algorithms models to optimize the final properties of rubber compounds.
