Built on its innovative TPE technology platform, KRAIBURG TPE has significantly improved its HIPEX® TPE family.  The new generation HIPEX® grades show comparable or better properties as those associated with high-performance elastomers.  They are ideally suited for continuous working temperatures up to 150°C, and instantaneous exposure to temperatures up to 170°C.  They exhibit excellent chemical resistance to fuels, engine oils, greases, and coolants.  They are capable of building optimal adhesion to commonly used engineering plastics utilized in the engine compartment, such as polyamide (PA), polyacetal (POM), and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT).  The new HIPEX® materials are conveniently processable by traditional thermoplastic injection molding.  They are suitable for a number of applications calling for stringent heat and chemical resistance inside and out outside engine bay, including seals, gaskets, plugs, caps, drive belts, tubes, connectors, hoses, cables and even noise and vibration dampening.  They can be used as replacements for acrylic elastomers or ethylene-acrylic elastomers (AEM).
