This is one of the most exciting times in the automotive industry since mass automobile production began more than a century ago.  New technologies are radically transforming some of the most fundamental and enduring elements of the automobile. The companies that lead these changes will create new ‘green’ jobs while reducing fuel use and CO2 emissions, benefiting both the economy and the environment.

Driving Green is one of the four pillars supporting Ford Motor Company business plans now and into the future.

As Ford plans and produces new products, the company recognizes the opportunity and responsibility to create a bright vision for the future and deliver on the promise of economic growth, energy independence and environmental sustainability.

New technology and innovations in materials and the development and manufacture of energy efficiency and well ‘balanced’ tires that exceed customer expectations are a corner stone to this vision.  The future requires greater collaboration between chemical suppliers, fabric suppliers, rubber suppliers, tire manufactures, vehicle manufactures and our mutual end customer, the driver.

Driving Green provides Ford with the framework for the future and has become an integral part in every employee’s daily decision making.
