The Use of Resorcinol and Resorcinol Formaldehyde Resins to Promote the Bonding of Rubber to Metal and Textile Reinforcements

Review the use of Resorcinol and Resorcinol Formaldehyde resins for adhesion promotion of rubber compounds to metal and textile reinforcements. The use of Resorcinol and Resorcinol Formaldehyde resins in both dipping and dry bonding applications will be discussed. Work will also be presented on isocyanate-modified Resorcinol Formaldehyde resins and their potential uses.
