PhD Xiaorong Wang Bridgestone Americas, Center for Research and Technology 1200 Firestone Parkway Akron, OH USA 44317 Biographical Sketch: Dr. Xiaorong Wang earned his Ph.D. in 1994 from Syracuse University and worked as a Research Associate at Princeton University. He joined the Bridgestone Corporation in late 1995. He is now a senior and corporate associate scientist in the Bridgestone Americas, and serves as the Project & Group Leader in the Center for Research & Technology of Bridgestone Corporation at Akron, Ohio. Dr. Wang has been granted 50 patents of over 90 disclosures and with over 40 publications. His work has been recognized in several products that are now commercialized. For that, he has been the recipient of several awards, among which was the Bridgestone/Firestone CEO Award for distinguished research staffs. Dr. Wang currently research interests include: Supersoft Elastomers, Polymeric Nano-Particles, Rheology of Metastable Fluids, Biomass Conversion, Anti-Vibrations, and Wet/Snow Tractions. |
