327 (David L. Lawrence Convention Center )
EPDM is the designation given for a saturated polymer chain of the polymethylene type, consisting of ethylene, propylene, and diene. This presentation is intended as a broad overview of the EPDM process / product technology. The topics that would be discussed include a historical evolution of the catalyst and process technology, the impact it has had on polymer structure, properties and applications. A comparison of the process used to make EPDM with Ziegler-Natta catalysts and metallocene catalysts will be presented. The range of products produced between these two platforms will be discussed
