  • Viscoelastic behavior is time and frequency mechanical response. One of the most valuable  procedures used to analyze Creep compliance, Stress relaxation and Dynamic mechanical data is time-temperature superposition; called thermorheological simplicity. These rheological functions are shifted in logarithmic plots to supperpose yielding extended time and frequency curves. For the procedure to be successful all of the contributing molecular mechanisms must have the same temperature dependence. A historical review of the procedures successes and its limitations will be given.
