Gerald D. Peterson Texas Department of Transportation Research and Technology Implementation Office P.O. Box 5080 Austin, TX USA 78763-5080 Biographical Sketch: Jerry Peterson is the manager of the Asphalt and Chemical Branch in TxDOT’s Construction Division, Materials and Pavements Section. In that role he is responsible for the quality assurance programs for a variety of materials, notably asphalt binders, epoxies, lime, and other miscellaneous products. He is also the main point of contact in the Construction Division regarding the introduction of new recycled materials into TxDOT projects, and helped to write TxDOT’s specification for evaluation of nonhazardous materials. Before starting with TxDOT in 1993, Jerry attended Texas A&M University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering, and specialized in asphalt chemistry and recycling.
