Eric E. Harm Illinois Department of Transportation 2300 South Dirksen Parkway Springfield, IL USA 62764 Biographical Sketch: Mr. Harm began his career with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Bureau of Materials and Physical Research in 1980 after receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois – Urbana and his Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California – Berkeley. In 1998, he was appointed Bureau Chief of Materials and Physical Research and, in 2002, Deputy Director of Project Implementation. In 2005, Mr. Harm was appointed Assistant Chief Engineer, Division of Highways. In his position of Assistant Chief Engineer, Mr. Harm is responsible for the direction and coordination of the Division of Highways’ central Bureaus of Bridges and Structures, Construction, Design and Environment, Land Acquisition, Local Roads and Streets, Materials and Physical Research, Operations, and Safety Engineering, consisting of over 480 employees; overseeing the development of statewide policies, procedures and technical standards to maintain quality and ensure cost-effective program activities. |
