Gary Hicks

Gary Hicks California Pavement Preservation Center: California State University, Chico Chico, CA USA 95929-0003 Biographical Sketch: Gary Hicks is currently the Technical Director for the newly formed California Pavement Preservation Center established at CSU, Chico. Prior to his current position, Dr. Hicks was senior principal for MACTEC E & C in Sacramento, and a Distinguished Professor of Civil Engineering at Oregon State University. Gary has worked in the area of pavements and pavement preservation for over 40 years. He is active with the Transportation Research Board (having served as the head of the pavements section), Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (having served as president of this organization), Foundation for Pavement preservation (served on the Board), and the International Society of Asphalt Pavements (served on the board). Most recently, he was project manager on the Flexible Pavements Services Contract and Project Principal for the Pavement Preservation Services Contract, both funded by Caltrans. He is a registered Civil Engineer in the states of California, Oregon and Alaska
