Prior to this position, Ed was President of the Asphalt Institute for nine years, serving as spokesperson for asphalt producers, processors, marketing companies, and affiliated businesses. He also directed the Institute’s sixteen field offices in the U.S. and Canada as well as engineering, research, education, and marketing operations from its international headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. Ed retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1992, after serving 20 years. In his final position with the Air Force, he directed the technical, operational, and research efforts of engineers and scientists for airfield pavements around the world. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1972, is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, and has earned masters’ degrees in both Civil Engineering and Business Administration. |
