Professor Emeritus Roderic Quirk University of Akron Polymer Science Akron, OH USA 44325 Email: rpquirk@uakron.edu Biographical Sketch: Emeritus Professor Quirk retired from the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron after 27 years of service including Department Chair (1995-1997) and Interim Director of the Institute of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering (2006-2010. His main research interest is in anionic polymerization of vinyl, diene, oxirane and acrylate monomers. He is the author of more than 300 papers, 32 patents and co-author of a monograph on anionic polymerization.
