Senior Associate Scientist Gabor Kaszas, Ph.D. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company 400 C 142 Goodyear Boulevard Akron, OH USA 44305 Email: gabor_kaszas@goodyear.com Biographical Sketch: Dr. Kaszas received a PhD in plastics and rubber technology in 1985, and an M. E. Sc in organic and biochemical engineering in 1977, from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. His advisors were Professors Ferenc Tüdös and Tibor Kelen of Hungary, and Professor Joseph P. Kennedy at the University of Akron, Ohio, USA, in the framework of collaboration between the National Science Foundation of the USA and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He held research positions at the Central Research Institute for Chemistry of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences until 1988 when he joined Polysar Rubber Corporation in Canada (later Nova, then Miles, then the Rubber Division of Bayer Inc., now LANXESS Inc.). There he rose to the top research position of Principal Scientist and served in this capacity until his resignation in 2006. He joined the Goodyear Rubber&Tire company in June of 2006 as Senior Associate Scientist.
