Miss Serena Agostini Durham University Department of Chemistry South Road Durham England DH1 3LE Email: serena.agostini@durham.ac.uk Biographical Sketch: I’m Serena Agostini, I’m a PhD student in Chemistry at Durham University in United Kingdom since October 2009. The research title is “Synthesis and Characterisation of Novel Branched Thermoplastic Elastomer” and my supervisor is Dr Lian Hutchings. I come from Italy where I got the master degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Pisa in 2007 with the experimental thesis entitled “New fluorinated polymers and their thermoplastic blends for marine applications” with Prof Giancarlo Galli. During my study I developed an interest in polymer synthesis with a good knowledge of random and ATRP polymerization in inert atmosphere and anionic polymerization with high vacuum technique.
