She studied biomedical chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz and the School of Pharmacy, University of London and received her diploma degree in 2010. In the end of 2010 she started working on her PhD thesis at the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz. Under the supervision of Prof. Holger Frey she investigates the synthesis and polymerization of novel oligo(glycerol) based macromonomers. She currently holds a fellowship of the “Fonds der Chemischen Industrie.”
